Organisation Overview: Limitless is a non-profit organisation (IPC), focused on empowering young people aged 12-25 by providing equitable access to mental health support.
Since 2016, Limitless aims to help every young person reach their full potential by providing accessible and free support, treatment and counselling for youths navigating mental health challenges.
The organisation also works to break down stigma, promote well-being and foster a culture of compassion and resilience through its various programmes.
Brief Description: As a Volunteer Management Intern, you will assist in the volunteer recruitment and engagement activities for Limitless. You will gain practical experience in coordinating volunteers and maintaining volunteer database to support the organisation's volunteer programmes. Ultimately, you will develop into a keen advocate for volunteerism and community-building in support of youth mental health.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Data Management: Maintain volunteer activity records, collate and manage data entry, provide support in VMS management tasks
2. Scheduling & Deployment: Assist in coordination of volunteer screening and training sessions, volunteer shifts, and engagement sessions
3. Recruitment: Support in planning and executing recruitment strategies and materials to attract new volunteers
4. Onboarding & Training: Assist in preparation of onboarding and useful training resources
5. Engagement & Retention: Support team communications with volunteers, including regular updates, welfare check-ins and feedback to foster encouraging environment for volunteers
6. General Support: Provide administrative and event support to the Volunteer Management team as needed
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. To gain practical experience in volunteer management, its principles and processes
2. To develop interpersonal communication and organisational skills
3. To learn more about the non-profit sector, with a focus on the youth mental health cause
4. To develop an appreciation for the value of volunteers in non-profit organisations
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Flexible - weekend work may be required depending on operational needs
Requirements (if any):
• Adaptable and flexible in dynamic working environments
• Able to work in teams and independently
• Organised and detail-oriented for data management and creative design tasks
• Possesses strong organisational and time management skills
• Preferred to be IT & digitally-savvy (comfortable with M365 suite, WhatsApp, video conferencing etc)
