Through subsidiaries like Darul Ihsan and Ihsan Kidney Care, MTFA also provides care for orphans and vulnerable children, ensuring their well-being and development.
Brief Description: The Volunteer Management & Youth Development Intern supports the planning, coordination, and execution of volunteer engagement and youth initiatives under the Volunteer Management & Youth Development Department. The intern will assist in volunteer recruitment, onboarding, deployment, training logistics, and engagement activities. The intern will also support the development of youth-led programmes and community projects, contributing to meaningful experiences for volunteers and beneficiaries.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in volunteer recruitment and outreach efforts, including coordinating sign-ups and responding to enquiries
Support volunteer onboarding processes such as scheduling briefings and preparing orientation materials
Help with volunteer deployment coordination, attendance tracking, and logistics for programme activities
Assist in planning and executing volunteer engagement initiatives and appreciation efforts
Support youth programmes and activities, including administrative prep and event support
Maintain and update volunteer records and databases accurately
Contribute to reporting, documentation, and impact measurement efforts
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to end-to-end volunteer management processes within a social service organisation
To learn how to coordinate volunteer operations and programme logistics effectively
To gain knowledge in engaging volunteers and youth in meaningful community roles
To participate in the planning and execution of youth and volunteer programmes
To apply administrative, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills in real-world settings
To develop an understanding of social service sector operations and community impact work
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.00am - 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Flexible - weekend work may be required depending on operational needs
