UI / UX Design Intern (ArchitectsOfLife Ltd)

Organisation Overview: Architects Of Life (AOL) is a Social Enterprise that specializes in developing the human potential of Youths-at-Risk and Ex-offenders through outreach, developmental & training programs. Our vision is to help transform them from stigmatized stereotypes to societal archetypes.

Brief Description: You will collaborate with our marketing team to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our website, landing pages & digital products. You should have a strong passion for user-centered design, and a keen eye for detail. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in UI/UX design within a fast-paced environment while contributing to real-world projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. User Research: Conduct user research through on-site interactions and involvements to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors through methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing

2. Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes and prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts, ensuring usability and functionality

3. Visual Design: Develop visually appealing user interface designs that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall user experience

4. Documentation: Document design decisions, guidelines, and specifications to ensure consistency and facilitate communication within the team

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. Be able to create wireframes and prototypes that address user needs and preferences, and iterate on designs based on user feedback

2. Develop visual design skills to produce user interface that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall user experience

3. Develop landing pages/ website based on best practices

4. Get feedback on one's work through actual projects

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
