Organisation Overview: TriGen x Youth Corps Singapore (TriGen x YCS) is a collaborative initiative that brings together the strengths of innovative intergenerational programming and youth-driven volunteerism.
With TriGen’s experience in serving vulnerable older adults and YCS’s national platform for youth leadership and service, we create meaningful opportunities for young volunteers to develop skills, build relationships across generations, and contribute to the health and social sectors in impactful ways.
Brief Description: Are you passionate about storytelling, communications, and creating content that drives community impact in healthcare-related youth initiatives?
Join us to deepen your understanding of the health and social sectors while building essential skills in content creation, social media engagement, programme coordination and community engagement. Step into a meaningful role that lets you serve, lead, and grow.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Publicity and Outreach
Drive creative communications efforts by producing captivating content to promote TriGen@YCS’s programmes
Craft impactful stories to shape our narrative and expand our outreach to a wider audience
Assist in boosting awareness of our intergenerational healthcare programmes across social media platforms
Cross-Team Collaboration & Brand Alignment
Work across teams to ensure consistent communication, cohesive branding, and alignment in how our work and impact are presented to the public
Programmes and Operations
Be exposed to intergenerational healthcare programmes in collaboration with SGH and other community partners
Collaborate with our partners and stakeholders in programme planning and execution
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Knowledge of Healthcare Sector – Gain a better understanding and appreciation of Singapore’s healthcare landscape, particularly how youth volunteers can contribute and support our healthcare professionals
Content Creation and Messaging – Learn how to create tailored outreach strategies and design engaging content to build greater awareness of intergenerational programmes
Collaboration and Communication – Develop interpersonal skills to work and communicate effectively with diverse teams to build our social media presence
Programme Exposure – To be exposed to intergenerational programmes, and facilitate them with confidence, empathy and agility
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
• There will be meetings and programmes which will occur on weekday nights and/or weekends. If you are required to attend these events beyond working hours, you will be able to claim time-off and off-in-lieu days accordingly
• We’re looking for youths who are passionate about serving the community, enjoy creating meaningful content, and have a keen eye for aesthetics in photography and videography. Familiarity with Canva and/or other editing tools is preferred
