Organisation Overview: TriGen x Youth Corps Singapore (TriGen x YCS) is a collaborative initiative that brings together the strengths of innovative intergenerational programming and youth-driven volunteerism.
With TriGen’s experience in serving vulnerable older adults and YCS’s national platform for youth leadership and service, we create meaningful opportunities for young volunteers to develop skills, build relationships across generations, and contribute to the health and social sectors in impactful ways.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Programmes and Operations
Lead and execute intergenerational healthcare programmes
Participate in the execution of the new Healthcare Youth Leaders Programme (HYLP), a leadership experience designed to equip youths with essential healthcare competencies
Collaborate with our partners and stakeholders in programme planning and execution
Volunteer Development and Management
Lead volunteer recruitment and engagement strategies
Support in developing a positive volunteer experience
Participate in developing a volunteer leadership framework for sustainability
Programme Evaluation & Development
Support data collection and evaluation of programme outcomes
Propose strategies and ideas to enhance programme design and impact
Assist in continuous improvement efforts through feedback and research
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Knowledge of Healthcare Sector – Gain a better understanding and appreciation of Singapore’s healthcare landscape, particularly how youth volunteers can contribute and support our healthcare professionals
Volunteer Management – Build competency in coordinating and sustaining volunteer participation through clear communication, timely support, and creating a positive, purpose-driven volunteer experience
Stakeholder Engagement – Develop skills in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration, communication and co-creation
Project Management – Build practical skills in the planning and execution of intergenerational programmes while working with multiple parties to ensure smooth program delivery
Programme Facilitation – To be able to facilitate activities and conduct reflection sessions with confidence, empathy and agility
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
• There will be meetings and programmes which will occur on weekday nights and/or weekends. If you are required to attend these events beyond working hours, you will be able to claim time-off and off-in-lieu days accordingly
• We’re looking for youth who are passionate about serving the community and keen to gain insights of the healthcare sector and the efforts to build intergenerational programmes to care for our older adults
