Organisation Overview: TriGen was founded in 2020 to serve vulnerable older adults in Singapore with innovative intergenerational programmes. TriGen strives to bridge generational gaps through relationship building and meaningful interactions in its programmes. TriGen hopes to inculcate youths with a passion for service and offer them a platform to gain healthcare and caregiving skills.
Brief Description: The internship programme involves assisting in the oversight of various services for older adults. Interns will maintain a comprehensive overview of TriGen's volunteering programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of seniors. They will help plan events within the volunteering programme and coordinate with community partners to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with administrative and logistical planning
Develop and implement community programmes
Engage with community partners and clients
Organise and plan events related to our programmes (e.g., roadshows)
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Gain exposure to community programmes serving the medical and social needs of the elderly
Understand the processes involved in programme planning
Learn to develop and implement community programmes
Participate in meetings with community partners
Acquire knowledge in programme management
Gain experience in event management
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 6.00pm (Mon-Thu), 8.30am - 5.30pm (Fri)
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
• As TriGen is an organisation formed largely by volunteers, there will be meetings which will occur on weekday nights and/or weekends. If you are required to attend these meetings beyond working hours, you will be able to claim time-off and off-in-lieus accordingly
• We looking for interns who are passionate about serving the older adults and empowering the community to care for these older adults. Traits we look for include: Commitment, initiative, willingness to learn
