Brief Description: As an intern with the Youth Team, you will play an active role in inspiring and engaging young people to take action for global and local causes. You will support the planning and execution of youth-focused initiatives by helping to create meaningful digital campaigns, design programme materials, and deliver outreach activities across schools and communities. This internship offers opportunity for hands-on experience in digital advocacy, event coordination, and youth engagement projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Digital Content Creation - ideate and produce visually engaging social media posts and short-forms videos across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Telegram that support World Vision’s advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and inspire youth action.
Material Development and Programme Support - study and research World Vision’s global humanitarian efforts, frameworks, and content. Create or adapt impactful decks, visuals, and resource kits for workshops, talks, and digital campaigns.
Outreach and Engagement - support and participate in school talks, events, booths set ups and youth group experiential activities to help foster a deeper understanding of global humanitarian and social justice issues among young people.
Administration and Coordination - assist in handling of logistics, event preparation, and participant communication. Maintain records of activities, documentation, and partner correspondence to ensure smooth coordination between schools and partner organisations.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to hands-on experience in, content creation, and social media marketing relevant to youth advocacy.
To be able to develop practical skills in event coordination, public speaking, and teamwork through workshops and outreach activities.
To participate in building strong project management and communication abilities by supporting logistics and administration for impactful programmes.
To learn how to deepen your understanding of global issues, empathy, and youth empowerment through meaningful service and real-world projects.
To gain knowledge in receiving mentorship from humanitarian sector experts.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
