Brief Description: We’re looking for a creative and socially conscious Social Media Intern who loves making short-form content - especially Reels, TikToks, and IG Stories. Your job is to help us spotlight the strengths, stories and experiences of persons with special needs, and inspire the community to see talents differently.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create engaging Reels, TikToks, and Instagram Stories featuring PWD-related content, success stories, behind-the-scenes clips, and day-in-the-life features.
Support content planning, scripting, filming, and editing for social media.Capture authentic moments during our programs, company visits, events and youth sessions.
Help grow our online presence by experimenting with trends, formats and creative angles.
Work with our team to ensure all content is respectful, empowering and aligned with our mission.
Assist in basic design work (e.g. Canva) for posts, quotes and infographics.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the social sector, youth with special needs, youth development and social innovation sector
To be able to build a portfolio of video and digital work with real community impact
To participate in creating purposeful content that change mindset and promotes inclusion
To learn how to tell story that differs from mainstream about youth with special needs development and how they can also realise their potential just like any one of us.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
Skilled in filming and editing short-form videos (IG Reels/TikTok).
Familiar with IG/TikTok trends and basic design tools like Canva.
