Brief Description: Research isn’t just googling (or asking ChatGPT/DeepSeek). It’s about offering fresh insights and building on the existing universe of knowledge. It’s not sitting behind a desk. You’ll analyse needs and not just make recommendations, but develop solutions as well, under the tutelage of a former policy director. Useful if you want to explore analyst jobs in future.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Research on topics relevant for youth self-confidence in navigating the ups and downs of life, in the face of uncertainty, failure and social envy.
Curate resources for youth based on your research. This could be in the form of ebooks, articles, food-for-thought social media content.
Evaluate pre- and post- coaching surveys. Write a report on the findings using both quantitative and qualitative data.
You are free to propose topics for research and development that are of interest to you, as long as they align with the growth mindset!
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To learn how to translate your research findings into useful end-products.
To learn how to make good recommendations based on your evaluation.
To learn how to cultivate and work with partners in research and evaluation.
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.30am - 5.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
