Organisation Overview: Vox Camerata Ltd is a centre of advocacy, discovery, learning and practice for the arts and community building in Singapore. We use music and the performing arts to bring people and communities together. We began as a registered society in 2005, and recently became an arts non-profit company limited by guarantee in December 2022.
Brief Description:
The interns hired for this position should expect to be involved in all aspects of research and advocacy. Part of the internship experience include working with a great team of choral enthusiasts who care deeply about producing quality work, learning the ins and outs of research and advocacy management and helping to foster a network of communities with the org. as a node. The intern will work closely with the Artistic Director, members of board of directors as well as the research team members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Timely deliverables of research tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to, literature review, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and copy-editing.
Assist with preparation of materials for research proposal, conference, or journal paper submissions.
Organise, maintain, and ensure timely update of the team’s research articles.
Perform literature review of research papers and reports published by institutions in the performing arts area.
Assist with music performance related duties such as copy-editing, compiling research and news articles, etc.
Updates of research progress in regular research project meetings.
Any other administrative and operational duties assigned by the Artistic Director and Board
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
At the end of the internship, the Interns will be able to:
visualise the layout of the arts eco-system and it's social mapping
identify the strategic needs of running a community based ensemble
develop a toolkit to approach evidence based design for community based activation and intervention
synthesize raw data into meaningful insights than can be used to inform and enable stakeholders
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon, 2pm to 6pm; Tues-Fri, 2pm to 9pm, Sat, 1pm to 6pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Regular weekend work as part of normal schedule
