Organisation Overview: Diabetes Singapore is the only society in Singapore dedicated exclusively to supporting the care and well-being of individuals with diabetes. As a registered social service agency under the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), we are committed to empowering people living with diabetes, along with their families and caregivers, through comprehensive services such as health screenings, diabetic complications screenings, educational programmes, counselling, and community outreach.
Brief Description: As a Program & Engagement Intern at Diabetes Singapore, you will support cross-functional initiatives that promote diabetes awareness, community engagement, and operational excellence. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing, research, event planning, partnership development, and volunteer coordination—all within a meaningful cause-driven environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications
Assist in creating content for social media, newsletters, and outreach campaigns aligned with diabetes awareness and education.
Support the design and distribution of promotional materials for events and programs.
Help monitor engagement metrics and compile reports to improve outreach strategies.
Research & Data Analysis
Conduct research on diabetes-related trends, community needs, and potential partners.
Analyze survey data and feedback from events and programs to inform future planning.
Maintain and update databases with accurate and confidential information.
Events Coordination
Support the planning and execution of community outreach events, health screenings, and workshops.
Assist with logistics including venue setup, registration, and volunteer coordination.
Help prepare post-event reports and feedback summaries.
Fundraising & Partnership Efforts
Research and identify potential donors, sponsors, and collaborators.
Assist in preparing fundraising proposals and stewardship materials.
Help maintain donor records and track fundraising progress.
Volunteer Mobilisation
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers for events and outreach activities.
Support volunteer engagement through communications and appreciation initiatives.
Maintain volunteer databases and help collect feedback for continuous improvement.
Inventory Management
Monitor and update inventory of diabetes care products, outreach materials, and event supplies.
Assist in organizing storage areas and ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
Support procurement and liaise with vendors when necessary.

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
