Organisation Overview: Vox Camerata Ltd is a centre of advocacy, discovery, learning and practice for the arts and community building in Singapore. We use music and the performing arts to bring people and communities together. We began as a registered society in 2005, and recently became an arts non-profit company limited by guarantee in December 2022.
Brief Description:
The intern will support Vox Camerata's commitment to using performing arts to bring diverse communities together for better understanding. The interns hired for this position should expect to be involved in assisting with arts related events and programmes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Program Research: Conducting research on potential artists, themes, trends, or community partners for upcoming exhibitions, educational programs, or events.
Data Entry/Management: Assisting with maintaining databases of artists, contacts, statistics, and program attendance records.
Curatorial Support: In museum or gallery settings, this may involve assisting curatorial staff with research, fact-checking for publications, or archiving.
Content Creation: Drafting content for promotional materials, social media posts, email newsletters (EDMs), or event listings on public calendars.
Publicity Support: Assisting the communications team with distributing promotional materials or communicating with media contacts.
Audience Interaction: Interacting with visitors, tracking attendance, and providing information about the programs or exhibitions.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
At the end of the internship, the Interns will be able to:
have an insight into non-profit arts administration, curatorial intentions, and the full production cycle of arts programming.
understand the life cycle of programming from conceptualization to execution.
visualise the layout of the arts eco-system and it's social mapping
identify the strategic needs of running a community based ensemble
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon, 2pm to 6pm; Tues-Fri, 2pm to 9pm, Sat, 1pm to 6pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Regular weekend work as part of normal schedule
