Organisation Overview: MENDAKI Club (MClub) is a volunteer-led organisation and affiliated to the Malay/Muslim Self-Help Group, Yayasan MENDAKI. MClub seeks to support our community's youths & young professionals by enabling them to launch & sustain impactful & fulfilling careers, while providing them with the space & opportunity to be part of a community that will enable them to personally & professionally grow.
Brief Description: You will be supporting MENDAKI Club's Secretariat Team as an intern, to support the coordination, tracking & financial management of MClub's programmes. It combines programme administration with basic finance.
You will be expected to work during regular weekday hours; however, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support executive committee meetings & programmes. Any additional hours worked beyond the stipulated schedule will be compensated through equivalent time-off in lieu.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation & monitoring of MENDAKI Club's programmes.
Coordinate communication with programme leads & volunteers to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
Maintain programme calendars, trackers & databases.
Support in compiling financial summaries & reports monthly for vendor payments & reimbursements.
Support in preparing & maintaining programme budgets & financial records.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Hands-on experience in programme coordination, budget management & financial reporting.
Understanding of how programme & financial management intersect in a professional setting.
Opportunity to develop strong administrative & analytical skills useful for future career growth.
Gain insight into how a Secretariat Team supports & enables volunteer-led programmes & initiatives serving the Malay/Muslim community.
Deepen awareness of contemporary issues within the Malay/Muslim community & how programme interventions contribute to positive change.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 8.30am - 6.00pm; Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
