Brief Description: The Programme Coordinator supports the planning, coordination and delivery of services and outreach activities for families, children, and youth in the community. Working closely with internal teams and community partners, the Coordinator ensures that programmes are well-organised, responsive to community needs and effectively implemented. The role involves supporting community engagement, partnership-building, monitoring and reporting and providing administrative and logistical support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Programme Support & Coordination
a. Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing programmes and outreach activities that promote the well-being and development of families, children and youth.
b. Support the smooth running of sessions and events, including logistics, scheduling, and coordination with facilitators and volunteers.
Community Engagement
a. Engage families and community stakeholders to encourage participation and ensure programmes remain relevant and responsive to their needs.
b. Support outreach efforts to raise awareness of available services and activities.
3. Partnerships & Collaboration
a. Support efforts to build and maintain relationships with schools, community partners and volunteers to enhance service delivery.
4. Monitoring & Reporting
a. Support the collection and maintenance of programme data, including attendance tracking and feedback collation.
b. Assist in preparing simple reports and summaries to support programme evaluation and improvement.
5. Administrative Support
a. Provide administrative support for programme logistics such as event setup, procurement and coordination of resources.
b. Any other duties as assigned by Manager or Programme Executive.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. To be exposed to various aspects of programme management.
2. To be able to connect and interact with various stakeholders in the programme (beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, etc)
3. To apply their knowledge, interpersonal and IT skills in practice.
4. To participate in operational, day-to-day duties of programme management.
5. To learn how to put into practice the knowledge and skills they obtained from schools.
6. To gain knowledge in better understanding the social service sector in Singapore.
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
