Organisation Overview: '=DREAMS offers a range of programmes that focus on academic support, talent and interest development, and residential living/personal development. Through these, it aims to empower promising and aspiring children to break out of poverty by providing them with opportunities to fulfil their potential by achieving excellence in education within a safe residential learning environment.
Brief Description: Interns will work closely with experienced professionals to co-plan, execute, and evaluate activities across three key domains: academic support, talent and interest development, and residential living/personal development. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these domains play a crucial role in the success and development of scholars at =DREAMS.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Co-design
Collaborate with the team to discuss and co-plan programs or activities in one or more of the three key domains: academic support, talent and interest development, and residential living/personal development
Logistics and Communication Support
Provide input on logistics and communication strategies for the planned programs, ensuring that all aspects are well-coordinated and effectively communicated
Evaluation and Feedback
Co-design and implement evaluation frameworks for the programs, gathering feedback and assessing the effectiveness of the initiatives to continuously improve their impact
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
Work with various stakeholders, understanding their needs, and contributing to strategic thinking on how to garner support for =Dreams' programs and support with organisational community awareness and outreach
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Develop skills in planning and co-designing youth programs across academic, talent, and residential/personal development domains
Strengthen coordination and organisational abilities through supporting logistics and communication for programs
Apply monitoring and evaluation tools to gather feedback and assess program effectiveness
Build confidence in engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to support program goals
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 1.00pm - 9.00pm, Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
