Organisation Overview: MENDAKI Club (MClub) is a volunteer-led organisation and affiliated to the Malay/Muslim Self-Help Group, Yayasan MENDAKI. MClub seeks to support our community's youths & young professionals by enabling them to launch & sustain impactful & fulfilling careers, while providing them with the space & opportunity to be part of a community that will enable them to personally & professionally grow.
Brief Description: You will be supporting MENDAKI Club's Secretariat Team and Marketing Communications Team, as an intern to support our brand outreach & engagement initiatives. You will assist in digital marketing, content creation, social media management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in developing & executing marketing & communication strategies to promote MENDAKI Club's brand & initiatives.
Create engaging content for social media & other communication channels.
Support in managing social media accounts & monitoring engagement metrics.
Help design marketing materials (brochures, posters, digital assets) using tools like Canva.
Capture event highlights for post-event reporting & marketing use.
Support in logistics planning, event registration & on-site coordination for MClub's programmes.
Coordinate with Programmes Team to ensure smooth event operations.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Gain real-world experience in marketing strategy, event planning & brand communication.
Mentorship & feedback from experienced marketing professionals.
Exposure to campaign planning, digital marketing tools & stakeholder management.
Gain insight into how a Secretariat Team supports & enables volunteer-led programmes & initiatives serving the Malay/Muslim community.
Deepen awareness of contemporary issues within the Malay/Muslim community & how programme interventions contribute to positive change.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 8.30am - 6.00pm; Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
Creative mindset with an eye for design & detail.
Proficiency in MS Office & familiarity with design tools (e.g. Canva) & social media platforms.
Excellent organisational & multitasking abilities.
Marketing Tracking Systems (Google Analytics, bit.ly etc)
