Brief Description: Supports the Volunteer Management and Engagement team by assisting with administrative tasks, event coordination and volunteer data management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment
Arranges and sets up orientation for new volunteers
Volunteer Deployment at Day Hospices and Volunteer Engagement
Creates proposal template for group volunteers
Creates Oasis@Outram and Oasis@Woodlands tour cue cards
Revamps New Volunteer/ Group Volunteer briefing checklist
Supports Day Hospice Volunteer Onboarding and Engagement
Assists in organising volunteer appreciation events and gatherings, including planning, execution and follow-up
Supports HCA Care letter writing, prepares writing materials and ensures sufficient stock (HCA Care cards and letters) for volunteers
Assists with Volunteer Management System’s administration, e.g. updating group volunteer attendance
Assists to sort and file volunteer attendance forms
Volunteer Training
Assists with the administrative and logistical aspects of volunteer training and workshop programmes
Coordinates schedules and registers learners
Supports in the creation of learning materials
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. Recruiting and onboarding new volunteers who are aligned with organisational needs and volunteer interests
Training volunteers to equip them with the necessary skills
Engaging volunteers to build positive relationships, so that they feel valued and motivated
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30 pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional evening/weekend work for special events/projects
