Organisation Overview: ARTDIS (Singapore) Ltd formerly known as Very Special Arts Singapore, is a leading non- profit organisation dedicated to creating learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities in the arts. Started in 1993 by Ambassador-at-Large, ART:DIS organises art programmes, projects, collaborations, exhibitions and performances for persons with disabilities to reach for excellence and be relevant in the future.
Brief Description: The role is interdisciplinary in function and would support new projects including the development of a new merchandise product line and highpoint events. This includes supporting day to day operations and administrative support towards the implementation of these events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage social media campaign around key projects determined together with intern
Support the product development and conceptualisation of new merchandise product line created from beneficiaries’ artworks
Support the execution of projects or events including logistics, communications and administrative support
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Gain experience in the social service sector in Singapore
Develop your written and verbal communication skills
Understand the logistics and strategy involved in planning and running successful
Make a valuable contribution to help ART:DIS(Singapore) generate income for our beneficiaries events
Drive efforts to increase awareness and help to advocate for people with disabilities
Develop good project management, time management as well as interpersonal communication skills
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
Have a passion for arts and making an impact to the lives of people with disabilities
Have good communication skills and be savvy in social media
Be meticulous and have good, organisation and administrative skills
Having experience in basic video editing and graphic design skills is advantageous
Be caring, open-minded, and willing to go the extra mile
