Organisation Overview: The YMCA of Singapore is a social service organisation dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through holistic programmes and initiatives. Brief Description:

Join the YMCA Youth For Causes (YFC) team as an intern or enabler! If you’re passionate about empowering youth and driving community impact, this is your chance to make a difference. YFC supports changemakers aged 15–24 to champion social causes they care about. As an intern, you’ll help design, plan, and onboard youth into this transformative programme that inspires positive change.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Support events, school talks, and promotions to inspire young changemakers.

  2. build connections with participants, mentors, and partners.

  3. Capture impactful stories from YFC projects to showcase youth achievements.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. Event planning and coordination skills

  2. Youth engagement and community outreach

  3. Communication and relationship-building

  4. Teamwork and stakeholder management

  5. Storytelling and content creation

  6. Digital tools for promotion (e.g. Canva, MS Office)

  7. Understanding of social causes and youth empowerment

Duration of Internship: 5 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am to 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects

Requirements (if any): Passionate about youth, volunteerism, and community. Strong in people, organization, and communication skills. Tech-savvy in MS Office; Canva or Photoshop a plus.
