Organisation Overview: MTFA (Muslimin Trust Fund Association) is a Singapore-based charity supporting underprivileged Muslims through financial aid, educational awards, affordable medical support, and free burial services. Through subsidiaries like Darul Ihsan and Ihsan Kidney Care, MTFA also provides care for orphans and vulnerable children, ensuring their well-being and development.
Brief Description: The Fundraising & Enterprise Intern will support the Revenue Operations (RevOps) Department in donor engagement, campaign coordination, and social enterprise activities. The intern will assist in fundraising events, outreach communications, donor database management, and preparation of partnership materials. This role provides hands-on exposure to how fundraising, donor stewardship, and enterprise projects contribute to the sustainability and impact of a charity organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising campaigns and outreach activities
Support donor engagement efforts, including preparing thank-you messages, updates, and communication materials
Help maintain donor and campaign databases with accurate and timely updates
Assist in drafting proposals, grant applications, and partnership documents
Support coordination with community partners, corporate sponsors, and event vendors
Assist in the organisation of on-ground fundraising events, charity drives, and community activations
Provide administrative and operational support for MTFA’s social enterprise initiatives
Contribute to impact reporting and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the fundraising and donor stewardship processes within a charity organisation
To learn how to coordinate partnership and fundraising campaigns from planning to execution
To develop communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills
To apply research, writing, and administrative skills in real fundraising and donor engagement projects
To participate in outreach and community events representing the organisation
To gain knowledge in how social enterprises operate and support financial sustainability in the social sector
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.00am - 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
