Organisation Overview: Unlocking ADHD Ltd is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering individuals with ADHD through advocacy, education, and community support. We raise awareness, provide accessible resources, and foster an inclusive environment to help people with ADHD unlock their strengths and thrive in school, work, and daily life.

Brief Description: The Finance Intern at Unlocking ADHD supports the organisation’s financial operations through data entry, financial tracking, and reporting. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting grant or programme reporting, and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in maintaining financial records, data entry, and document filing

  2. Support monitoring, and expense tracking for programmes and events

  3. Help with invoice processing, reimbursements, and payments

  4. Assist in preparing financial reports for management, grants, and funders

  5. Reconcile transactions and ensure accuracy in financial documentation

  6. Participate in administrative tasks related to finance operations as required

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to real world non-profit finance operations and workflows.

  2. To be able to prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation

  3. To apply accounting or finance concepts in reporting, and reconciliation.

  4. To participate in internal financial processes such as month-end tasks and audits.

  1. To learn how to use financial tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems effectively.

  1. To gain knowledge in nonprofit financial management, compliance, and grant reporting.

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
