Organisation Overview: Shaw Heritage Arts and Wellbeing Studios Ltd. (SHAW Studios) is a charity dedicated to saving lives by strengthening mental wellbeing and social connections through the arts. Based in Singapore, we support vulnerable communities through our evidence-based programmes that are grounded in research and co-developed in collaboration between artists and healthcare professionals.
Brief Description: The Finance & Operations Intern will support the day-to-day financial administration and organizational processes of Shaw Studios’ non-profit initiatives. This role includes assisting with expense tracking, grant documentation, operational workflows, and maintaining accurate financial records. The intern will help streamline internal systems, support event logistics, and ensure smooth coordination across programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and monthly financial reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, receipts, and grant documentation
Support operational workflows, including scheduling, logistics, and vendor coordination
Help streamline internal systems, templates, and process documentation.
Assist in programme planning, coordination, and scheduling
Prepare simple reports, summaries, and data entries as needed
Provide support during programme delivery (registration, setup, data collection)
Help compile programme reports and impact documents
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Develop fundamental financial administration skills, including budgeting and expense tracking
Build confidence in maintaining organized financial records and documentation
Strengthen operational competency through hands-on coordination of workflows and logistics
Gain experience using systems, tools, and processes that support non-profit operations
Improve communication and collaboration skills across teams and external partners
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Flexible - weekend work may be required depending on operational needs
