Organisation Overview: SCOGA was founded by a group of enthusiastic gamers and leaders who wanted to make a difference in the local gaming scene, especially in promoting Cybersports, or more commonly known as Esports. Today, its initiatives include esports, cyber wellness, adult learning and active ageing programmes. It has worked with various government bodies, industry players, media, schools, gamers, parents and other non-profit organizations to create positive change and impact in Singapore.
Brief Description: Support planning and execution of esports and community events. Assist with logistics, scheduling, registrations, on-site operations, partner coordination, and content support. Help run engaging programs for youth and seniors, including tournaments and workshops. Ideal for someone organised, hands-on, proactive, and passionate about esports and events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing esports and community events, including tournaments and workshops
Coordinate logistics, registrations, and event schedules
Support partner engagement, volunteers, and vendors
Handle on-site duties such as setup, ushering, and operations support
Contribute to event content (photos, captions, social support) and post-event reports
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Gain hands-on experience in planning and running esports and community events, from setup to teardown
Develop communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills by working with partners, volunteers, and participants
Learn to use event logistics and reporting tools; apply them to real event operations
Build problem-solving and organisational skills in fast-paced environments, improving confidence and independence
Produce tangible event work (e.g., reports, schedules, on-ground support) to strengthen your professional portfolio
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
