Organisation Overview: At Impart, we give youths a fighting chance. With Impart, youths-facing-adversity receive accessible and effective developmental opportunities, with support spanning Education, Mental Health Care, and Community-based group therapy.
Brief Description: The Community Youth Intern will support the staff members of Impart's Community arm, and the Head of Department. The intern will be involved primarily in shadowing group interventions for youths, including planning and documentation. Beyond that, the intern will be supporting the execution of other programmes. The intern will receive the necessary training and clinical supervision required to perform the expected duties.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Shadow the youth workers of the Community arm
Deliver or support the delivery of group interventions
Carry out preparations necessary for group intervention every week
Integrate learning points from the intervention into their activities
Regularly update and check in with stakeholders as needed
Escalate any safety concerns or issues internally
Attend training and supervision sessions
Support Programme Leads in ensuring smooth execution of Community programmes
Ad-hoc tasks, as required by supervisor
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
The intern will gain professional and practical knowledge in conducting group interventions in the community
The intern will gain a better understanding of the youth landscape and social gaps in Singapore
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
