Organisation Overview: REACH Community Services was founded in 1998 by Grace Assembly of God Church with the mission to help the Least, the Lost, and the Lonely in the community. As a non-profit social service agency, REACH strives to inspire hope and empower change in

people we serve, regardless of age, race, language, or religion. Our outreach spans across ten community touchpoints, delivering diverse programmes and services through four core services: Family, Counselling & Mental Health, Youth and Senior.

Brief Description: Community Engagement Interns liaise with our Community Engagement Team (CET) to assist with any preparation of community and fund-raising initiatives, and involving Marketing & Comms work in the Social Service Sector

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparation of annual report.

  2. Assist in community and fund-raising event from planning to execution

  3. Assist in designing of marketing materials and collection of success stories

  4. Assist in data entry and database management

  5. Assist in coordinating interviews with clients or potential candidates and other administration work

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to the Social Service sector

  2. To apply skills in indirect efforts in a Social Service Agency (SSA)

  3. To gain knowledge in how the Community Engagement Team works in an SSA

Duration of Internship: 5 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects

Requirements (if any):

  1. Proficient in English

  2. Meticulous

  3. Team Player

  4. Basic skills in Canva, Photoshop & Lightroom

  5. Keen interest in supporting community social causes
