Community and Educational Outreach Intern (SATA CommHealth)

Organisation Overview: SATA CommHealth is a charitable healthcare organisation in Singapore. We are here to care for the health of seniors and the vulnerable in the community. We serve our beneficiaries through community events, subsidised care at our medical centres as well as home and centre-based services which includes Homecare, Doctors-On-Wheels, Day Rehabilitation Centres and Fernvale Community Hub.

Brief Description: This role will support the Volunteer Management in its education and outreach programme to the community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Organise events in the heartlands.

2. Liaise with volunteers and community partners on our Programme

3. Preventive Healthcare Outreach Advocacy Work

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. To apply event management principles in the organisation of mid-scale community events.

2. To gain knowledge in communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

3. To be able to execute the event planning cycle, from concept development to post-event evaluation.

4. To learn how to develop a complete event plan including objectives, timelines, logistics, and resource allocation.

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 6:00 pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
