Organisation Overview: Diabetes Singapore is the only society in Singapore dedicated exclusively to supporting the care and well-being of individuals with diabetes. As a registered social service agency under the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), we are committed to empowering people living with diabetes, along with their families and caregivers, through comprehensive services such as health screenings, diabetic complications screenings, educational programmes, counselling, and community outreach.
Brief Description: As a Business & Community Engagement Intern at Diabetes Singapore, you’ll gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, strategic outreach, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to public health initiatives while developing practical business acumen.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Marketing & Outreach Strategy
Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote diabetes awareness and organizational programs.
Analyze engagement data and recommend improvements to outreach strategies.
Support the creation of business-oriented content for newsletters, social media, and donor communications.
Fundraising & Partnership Development
Research and identify potential corporate sponsors, donors, and strategic partners.
Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, and partnership packages.
Support donor stewardship activities including impact reporting and relationship management.
Event Planning & Coordination
Help plan and execute community events, corporate wellness programs, and fundraising activities.
Coordinate logistics, budgeting, and stakeholder communications.
Assist in post-event evaluations and reporting.
Volunteer & Stakeholder Engagement
Support volunteer recruitment and scheduling, especially for corporate volunteer programs.
Help maintain stakeholder databases and track engagement metrics.
Assist in developing engagement strategies for different audience segments (e.g., youth, corporate, healthcare).
Operations & Inventory Management
Monitor and update inventory records for outreach materials and event supplies.
Assist in procurement and liaising with vendors.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives for operational efficiency.
Research & Data Analysis
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform program development.
Analyze survey data and feedback to support decision-making.
Prepare reports and dashboards for internal use and external stakeholders.

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
