Brief Description: We are looking for energetic and self-motivated individuals to join our team to make an impact on people’s experiences with us and support the expansion of our work and impact beyond Singapore. The intern will have holistic exposure to what it means to be a social entrepreneur through stakeholder engagement, landscape analysis, business strategy meetings, translating insights into a Minimum Viable Product, and working with other team members on new target market initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in engaging stakeholder (including government agencies, corporates, social enterprises and charity organisations) through interviews and business development conversations
2. Create new sales leads and partnership opportunities from a variety of prospecting channels (including government agencies, corporates, social enterprises and charity organisations) in both Singapore and overseas
3. Initiate outreach to and conversations with potential overseas partners and clients
4. Support landscape and benchmarking study of programmes, initiatives and products related to personal development, organisational development, team building, enhancement of team effectiveness, mental health and well-being mental health and well-being
5. Participate in and support business strategy and development meetings
6. Translate user research into new programmes and channels (usage of behavioural science principles to come up with intervention programmes and better communications)
7. Translate landscape and benchmarking studies into various formats for thought leadership and marketing purposes
8. Develop marketing materials, pitch decks and product catalogues in line with target markets’ needs and company’s product USP
9. Contribute to refining business processes to build the “perfect” human-centric workplace and team
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. First-hand experience of the sweet spot between entrepreneurship and social sector
2. Exposure to workings and networks across Public, Private, and People sector
3. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
4. Exposure to behavioural science principles
5. Develop an appreciation and practical understanding of the concept of play
6. Develop an appreciation and practical understanding of the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology and other experiential modalities
7. Experience working in a startup
8. Contribute ideas and perspectives towards youth mental well-being and workplace mental health through involvement at different levels, including facilitating and direct participation in the workshops
9. Appreciate diverse perspectives and stories by connecting with, hearing from and discussing with peers and stakeholders on their experiences with youth mental well-being and workplace mental health
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
