Organisation Overview: Pathfinders Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS) supports the wellbeing and mental health of youths aged 12-25 years old primarily in the Northeast region. Our team promotes and supports early identification of at-risk youths through awareness talks and workshops in schools/community, we provide 1:1 psychosocial intervention and group psychosocial intervention. We also run weekly youth wellness programmes for youths who need social connection at our centre on Friday afternoons.

Brief Description: Assist Youth Workers in roadshows, talks, workshops, group works to the schools, community and stakeholders include to promote mental wellness and help-seeking behaviours to youths 12-25 years old. Assist and support Youth Workers in running weekly youth programme in the centre and occasionally outside the centre.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Youth Workers in the creation and preparation of talk/workshop contents and relevant activities

  2. Befriend and actively engage youths at the weekly youth programme in centre

  3. Assist Youth Workers in the roadshows, talks, workshops, etc

  4. Support in some administrative works, ie. update attendance, scan documents, input data, etc

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To gain knowledge on youth mental health

  2. To learn how to support youths in their mental health

  3. To participate in roadshows, talks, workshops

  4. To learn how to relate and engage youths meaningfully

  5. To be able to co-run a workshop/group session with a Youth Worker

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 10.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
