Organisation Overview: United Nations Global Compact Network Singapore is the local chapter of the UN Global Compact, mobilising businesses in Singapore and across Asia to advance sustainable and responsible practices. It supports companies in aligning with global standards on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, while providing platforms, programmes, and partnerships to turn sustainability commitments into measurable action and impact.
Brief Description: Support UN Global Compact Network Singapore’s collaboration with MPA on the LowCarbon50 Awards by coordinating with applicants & partners, managing submission processes, addressing enquiries & providing regular progress updates to stakeholders. Assist in implementation of LowCarbonSG Programme by maintaining relevant data systems to support the initiative’s recognition framework & work with Marketing team to enhance online engagement, track performance metrics, and report on programme outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with applicants and partners to support the LowCarbon50 Awards, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required materials
Liaise with external vendors and stakeholders to track submission progress, resolve queries, and provide status updates
Assist in managing the LowCarbonSG Programme by maintaining and updating relevant data systems to support programme delivery and recognition processes
Collaborate with the Marketing team to manage online engagement activities and communications
Track and analyse participation metrics, performance data, and other indicators to inform programme reporting and improvement"
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Develop practical skills in stakeholder coordination and cross-sector collaboration through direct engagement with industry partners, vendors, and government agencies
Gain hands-on experience in managing carbon management programmes, including data tracking, performance monitoring, and recognition system implementation
Strengthen communication and digital engagement capabilities by supporting outreach activities and analysing participation metrics to enhance programme impact
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 9.00am - 6.00pm, Fri, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: No weekend work required
Requirements (if any):
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic digital tools
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently and collaboratively
Interest in sustainability and non-profit work
Minimum age 18; able to support on-site when required
