Organisation Overview: The Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA), established in 1904, is one of Singapore’s oldest Malay/Muslim charity organizations. It focuses on the well-being of the less fortunate through social welfare and education. MTFA is renowned for operating the Darul Ihsan Orphanages, providing a nurturing home for orphaned and displaced children. Beyond residential care, they offer financial aid, burial services, and educational subsidies, staying true to their mission of uplifting the community.
Brief Description: The Volunteer Management Intern will support and drive transformative projects to align our volunteer lifecycle with HR best practices. You will focus on streamlining operational processes—from automated onboarding to performance tracking—ensuring a professionalized experience for our supporters. This role is perfect for those interested in HR digitalization, process optimization, and building a scalable, data-driven volunteer management framework.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Audit existing volunteer workflows and propose "HR-style" enhancements for recruitment and retention.
Implement digital tools to streamline volunteer registration, attendance, and feedback loops.
Develop a standard operating procedure (SOP) manual for volunteer conduct and crisis management.
Design a "Volunteer Competency Framework" to match volunteer skills with specific event needs.
Analyze volunteer engagement data to provide insights for future program scaling.

To be exposed to the integration of HR management principles within a non-profit context.
To be able to design and implement process-mapping strategies for volunteer operations.
To apply data analytics to measure volunteer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
To participate in the digital transformation of manual community service workflows.

Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8am to 5.30pm
