Brief Description: As a Software Development and Business Intern, the intern will assist our engineers with software design, coding, debugging, and testing. You will also support business operations including requirements gathering, project management, and content creation. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience at a high-growth technology company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Software Development

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in existing web and mobile applications
• Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for new software projects
• Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing
Business Operations & UI/UX
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to evaluate user requirements
• Create wireframes, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design concepts
• Design UI elements including menus, tabs, widgets, navigation buttons, and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and interactive prototypes
• Conduct layout refinements based on user feedback and usability testing
• Adhere to brand and style standards across fonts, colours, and images
• Support project management tasks including documentation, scheduling, and client communication
Business Development
• Support the sales team in identifying and researching prospective clients including nonprofits, charities, and social service agencies
• Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and presentations for new business opportunities
• Help coordinate and follow up on client meetings, demos, and RFP submissions
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities in Singapore and Hong Kong
• Maintain and update CRM records, sales pipeline trackers, and client documentation
• Assist in drafting marketing content, case studies, and social media materials to support lead generation
• Participate in client engagement activities including workshops, webinars, and networking events
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. To be exposed to the full software development lifecycle — design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment — within real projects serving Singapore's nonprofits, charities, and Social Service Agencies (SSAs)
2. To be able to gather and translate user requirements from SSA stakeholders (case workers, volunteers, fundraisers, beneficiaries) into functional software solutions that directly improve service delivery to vulnerable communities
3. To apply UI/UX design principles in building accessible, user-friendly interfaces for donor management, volunteer management, case management, and omni-channel contact centre platforms used across the social service sector
4. To participate in client engagement activities with charities and SSAs — including discovery workshops, solution demos, proposal development, and grant-funded project implementations under frameworks such as NCSS Tech-and-Go! Support Scheme (TSS)
5. To learn how to support customer success for mission-driven organisations — building long-term relationships with SSA leaders, tracking satisfaction and adoption metrics, and identifying ways technology can free up frontline staff to focus on beneficiaries
6. To gain knowledge in how AI, intelligent automation, and data analytics are transforming Singapore's charity sector — from AI-powered helplines and digital concierge services to data-driven fundraising — and to understand the broader social impact of enabling SSAs to do more with limited resources
