Organisation Overview: SCOGA was founded by a group of enthusiastic gamers and leaders who wanted to make a difference in the local gaming scene, especially by promoting Cybersports, also known as Esports.
Today, its initiatives include esports, cyber wellness, adult learning and active ageing programmes.
It has worked with various government bodies, industry players, media, schools, gamers, parents and other non-profit organisations to create positive change and impact in Singapore.
Brief Description: Join SCOGA as a Social Media Intern and help shape our online presence across platforms. The intern will support content creation, community engagement, and campaign execution for esports and gaming initiatives targeting youth and seniors. This is a hands-on role suited for someone passionate about gaming culture, storytelling, and digital marketing in a fast-moving social enterprise environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and creating content (graphics, captions, short videos) for SCOGA's social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Schedule and publish posts in accordance with the content calendar and campaign timelines
Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across platforms and support community engagement responses
Track and compile social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) for regular reporting
Support live coverage and real-time posting during SCOGA events such as Campus Legends, Campus Game Fest, and community esports programmes
Conduct research on trending topics, platform best practices, and competitor activity to inform content strategy
Assist in the creation of marketing materials and digital assets in alignment with brand guidelines
Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns tied to youth esports, senior esports, and partnership activations
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the full social media content lifecycle, from ideation and production through to scheduling, publishing, and performance review
To be able to plan and execute platform-specific content strategies tailored to distinct audience segments, including youth and seniors
To apply copywriting, visual storytelling, and short-form video skills in a real-world social enterprise and events context
To participate in live event coverage and campaign activations, gaining hands-on experience managing social media under time-sensitive conditions
To learn how to interpret social media analytics and translate data insights into actionable content recommendations
To gain knowledge in community management practices, brand voice consistency, and stakeholder communications across digital platforms
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
