Organisation Overview: The Tapestry Project is a non-profit that promotes mental health education through person-first stories and narrative programmes. We equip individuals with accessible, non-clinical tools based on narrative therapy to support well-being, build resilience, and foster growth. By centering lived experiences and storytelling, we reduce stigma, strengthen connection, and create inclusive spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported on their mental health journey.
Brief Description: We are seeking a motivated programme intern to support us. The role includes programme coordination, events support, marketing and outreach. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector, build skills in programmes work, and contribute to mental health advocacy in the community.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative & logistical support to the Programmes team as needed
Support the running of organisational events
Participate and contribute in team meetings
Assist in developing outreach materials (e.g., brochures, presentation slides, email templates) and content tailored for specific stakeholders
Support data management efforts such as collection and analysis of data
Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor"
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To develop a deeper understanding of the social impact space and the operations of a mental health charity
Improve written and verbal general workplace communication skills
To gain skills in event and programme coordination such as data management, logistics, admin, marketing work
To participate in conversations in the social impact space and assist in facilitating collaborations.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 10.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
Proficient in English (spoken and written) as all our programmes are conducted in English
Strong interest in mental health and a passion to positively impact the community
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Proactive, empathetic and self-motivated and willing to learn and develop new skills
Graphic design skill is an advantage
Experience with social media platforms is an advantage
Equipped with personal laptop and mobile devices
