Organisation Overview: Stroke Support Station (S3) supports stroke survivors and their caregivers every step of the way, offering rehabilitation, community programmes, and a safe space to rebuild confidence and independence after stroke.
Brief Description: Be part of something meaningful by supporting wellness programmes for stroke survivors and seniors. You will help bring activities to life through planning, coordination, content creation and smooth programme delivery. Working closely with participants and volunteers, you will contribute to a supportive community while gaining valuable experience in operations, engagement and programme improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Programme Coordination and Support
Assist in planning, organizing and executing wellness programmes for stroke survivors and seniors.
Assist in developing marketing materials, such as promotional flyers, and newsletters to highlight programme benefits and upcoming events.
Coordinate logistics for on-site and virtual programmes, including registration page, resource preparation, programme materials and venue setup.
Volunteer and Participant Engagement
Support participant engagement by helping with activity facilitation
Assist with volunteer coordination, including scheduling, training support and task allocation.
Gather and implement participant and volunteer feedback to improve programme effectiveness.
Administrative Assistance
Assist in maintaining accurate participant records, tracking attendance and participation levels
Contribute to creating reports detailing participant engagement, programme performance, and areas for improvement.
Provide general administrative support, including answering enquiries and orientation of new clients
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the planning and execution of wellness programmes for stroke survivors and seniors
To be able to coordinate programme logistics, including registration, materials preparation and event setup
To apply communication and engagement skills when interacting with participants and volunteers
To participate in volunteer coordination, including scheduling, training support and activity facilitation
To learn how to track participation data and contribute to reports for programme improvement
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 8.30am - 6.00pm, Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: No weekend work required
