Organisation Overview: Yong-en Care Centre is a social service agency serving the community through our Core Services: Family Support Services, Dementia Day Care, Home Care Service, and Active Ageing.
Brief Description:
Enhance branding efforts, increase awareness and communicate Yong-en‘s mission via social media platforms, website and publications
Capture the impact of the work we do through video, interviews, sound bites and newsletters
Recruit, manage and develop volunteers and partnerships
Assist to execute and assist in fundraising / charity events and volunteer recruitment campaigns to augment Yong-en’s funding and manpower needs
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist to plan and support in executing of purposeful and interactive activities, fundraising charity events
Generate content, design work and implementation on social media platforms
Support the day-to-day functions of the Community Relations Team
Assist in key message development and corporate storytelling across social media and publications
Design volunteer opportunities to attract and train organisational/corporate/individual volunteers
Attend to public enquiries
Compile and gather feedback from clients and volunteers
Assist to maintain and update administrative system
Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned within the scope of internship
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To learn about branding and building awareness for Yong-en Care Centre
To develop the ability to navigate effectively between the public and private social sectors
To gain knowledge in developing corporate communication strategies
To be exposed to the planning, organisation, and execution of fundraising campaigns and volunteer activities
To gain exposure, knowledge, and practical application in social service and community work
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
