Organisation Overview: TriGen strives to bridge generational gaps through relationship building and meaningful interactions in its programmes to serve vulnerable older adults in Singapore with innovative intergenerational programme. We hope to inculcate youths with a passion for service and offer them a platform to gain healthcare and caregiving skills.
Brief Description: Looking to build a career in communications while creating real social impact?
Join TriGen x Youth Corps Singapore (TriGen x YCS) and play a key role in shaping how intergenerational healthcare stories are told and experienced.
As a Community Relations Intern, you’ll sit at the intersection of content, community, and cause - working on both communications strategy and on-the-ground programme execution with partners like Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Publicity & Content Creation
Conceptualise and produce engaging content (social media, captions, short-form videos, stories) to promote TriGen x YCS programmes
Craft compelling narratives that spotlight the impact of intergenerational healthcare initiatives
Support outreach campaigns and grow awareness across digital platforms
Communications & Brand Alignment
Work across teams to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with TriGen’s brand voice
Support content planning and communications strategy for campaigns and programmes
Help translate programme impact into meaningful stories for different audiences
Programmes & Operations
Gain exposure to intergenerational healthcare programmes in collaboration with SGH and community partners
Support planning, coordination, and on-ground execution of programmes
Engage with stakeholders, volunteers, and beneficiaries during activities
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Real-World Communications Experience: Build a portfolio of meaningful content and campaigns with measurable impact
Exposure to the Healthcare & Social Impact Sector: Understand how communications plays a role in public health and community engagement
Content Strategy & Storytelling Skills: Learn how to craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiences
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across healthcare, community, and youth sectors
Hands-On Programme Experience: Go beyond desk work - be part of initiatives that directly impact lives
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
Who We’re Looking For:
Students from Communications, Media, Marketing, or related fields (Polytechnic/University)
Strong writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills
A good eye for visuals (photography/videography) and content aesthetics
Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
There will be meetings and programmes which will occur on weekday nights and/or weekends. If you are required to attend these events beyond working hours, you will be able to claim time-off and off-in-lieu days accordingly.
We’re looking for youth who are passionate about serving the community and keen to gain insights of the healthcare sector and the efforts to build intergenerational programmes to care for our older adults.
