Organisation Overview: Children’s Wishing Well (CWW) is a registered charity and IPC founded in 2002. We focus on supporting disadvantaged children and youth from low-income families. We provide our programmes and services 100% free of charge to almost 1,000 children and youth. We believe that by providing the children with educational support and more equal opportunities, they will be empowered to maximise their potential and break out of the poverty cycle.
Brief Description: We are looking for a dedicated and organised Children's Enrichment Programme Intern to support and assist in our children’s programs, designed for Primary School children, at our Clementi Centre (based at Clementi) and Community Sites (based at Bukit Merah). If you enjoy working with children and want to create a meaningful impact in the community supporting children from disadvantaged background, this role is for you.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Programme & Centre Operations
· Support daily operations of Children Enrichment Program (CEP) and school holiday program
· Maintain classroom discipline, safety of beneficiaries and ensure centre cleanliness.
· Support supervision and management of the beneficiaries.
· Support in facilitation of FRESH grocery shopping sessions and ensure smooth session for volunteers and beneficiaries participating in the programme.
2. Donation-in-kind Management
· Manage stock-taking and distribution of donated items, and vouchers.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and issue Donation-in-Kind forms.
3. Administrative Support
· Attend to walk-ins, calls, and email enquiries.
· Keep proper records of programme activities, beneficiaries, and volunteers.
· Any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor/Head (CEP)
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. Develop programme coordination skills
Gain hands-on experience in supporting the planning, coordination, and smooth execution of children’s enrichment and school holiday programs to ensure effective daily centre operations.
2. Strengthen child engagement and supervision abilities
Learn how to supervise, guide, and interact appropriately with primary school children while maintaining a safe, supportive, and disciplined learning environment.
3. Build operational and inventory management competencies
Acquire skills in stock-taking, inventory tracking, and proper distribution of donated items and vouchers while ensuring accurate documentation of donation records.
4. Enhance communication and customer service skills
Improve professional communication by handling walk-in enquiries, phone calls, and emails with beneficiaries, volunteers, and stakeholders in a courteous and efficient manner.
5. Develop administrative and record-keeping proficiency
Learn to maintain organised records of programme activities, beneficiary participation, and volunteer involvement to support accurate reporting and programme continuity.
6. Understand community service and social impact work
Gain insight into how community-based programs support children from disadvantaged backgrounds and understand the role of social services in creating positive community outcomes.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
