Organisation Overview: We support children and youth through research-based Social Work and Educational Psychology programmes.

Through targeted interventions, we empower at-risk children and youth, fostering essential life skills, nurturing connections, and promoting personal growth.

Brief Description: This job role falls under the Communications and Partnership department and will primarily support in shaping and driving effective and efficient volunteer partnerships in SHINE through relevant policy, strategy and organizational development projects, with possible opportunities to be exposed to functions such as Communications and Fundraising, as well other functions within the Organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Support in working with staff team and external agencies, student groups and corporates on volunteerism needs and possible collaborations

  2. Support the planning and execution of volunteer-related projects and engagement events

  3. Contribute to initiatives that enhance volunteer experience and partnerships

  4. Assist with volunteer management processes and operations including feedback, review, evaluation, database management, and administrative coordination with programme teams

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. Gain experience in volunteer management and programme planning

  2. Develop project management skills through supporting the planning and implementation of volunteer initiatives

  3. Learn about community needs and how to identify potential solutions through volunteerism

  4. Develop stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills

  5. Gain exposure to the social service sector and volunteer development in Singapore

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
