Our services include family life education, financial assistance, befriending, counselling, and case management. We also run an active ageing centre and community thrift and snack shops, serving people of all ages and backgrounds. Our goal is to equip individuals and families with practical life skills and strengthen community well-being.
Brief Description: Assist the Programme Manager to manage the daily operations of the thrift store (The Barn); create social media marketing content and assist with online and Barn Pop Up sales.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manning of the shop during opening hours
Sorting new donations
Pricing and display of items for sale
Tidying of shop
Provide good customer service
Creating social media posts for publicity
Preparing and listing of items on Carousell
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To understand basic retail operations, including inventory management, pricing, and store presentation.
To develop customer service and communication skills.
To gain experience in social media marketing and online sales platforms.
To build organisational, marketing, and event coordination skills.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Tue - Sat , 9.30am - 5:30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Regular weekend work as part of normal schedule
