Organisation Overview: ONE Intervention Centre is a child psychologist-led developmental centre supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs. We provide early intervention, school readiness, and learning support through personalised, evidence-based programmes. Brief Description: To assist in delivering quality educational experiences to children with developmental needs. This role offers hands-on opportunities to work closely with teachers, engage with children in a supportive learning environment, and contribute to the success of individualized educational programs. The intern will gain valuable experience in classroom support, lesson planning, student engagement, and program coordination.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in preparing and organising learning materials and resources
Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to children’s developmental needs
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning objectives
Help manage classroom activities and ensure a safe, engaging environment for all students
Coordinate with therapists, teachers, and external specialists to support individualized learning goals
Monitor and record students' progress and assist with adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs
Engage with parents and families to provide updates and gather feedback on their child’s development
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Develop skills in classroom support, including lesson preparation, student engagement, and resource management
Gain experience working with children with developmental needs, supporting individualized learning and growth
Enhance communication and interpersonal skills by working closely with teachers, students, and parents
Learn to monitor and document student progress, helping to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs
Build teamwork and collaboration skills by supporting teachers and coordinating with specialists for optimal student outcomes
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.30am - 6.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
