Organisation Overview: Singapore Children’s Society protects and nurtures children and youth of all races and religions. In 2025, the Society reached out to 22,333 children, youth and families in need. Established in 1952, its services have evolved to meet the changing needs of children.
Today, Children’s Society operates more than 10 service centres islandwide, offering services in the four categories of: Vulnerable Children and Youth, Children and Youth Services, Family Services, and Research and Advocacy.
Brief Description: We’re seeking a passionate Social Media & Video Editor Intern to join our youth centre team. You’ll create engaging videos, visuals and social content, including our youth podcast FortCast (full episodes on YouTube, short clips on Instagram). Gain hands-on experience supporting content projects, branding and pitching in a community setting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Podcast Production
Edit and produce full FortCast episodes for YouTube.
Create short highlight clips for Instagram and other platforms.
Social Media Content
Edit short-form videos (e.g., Reels, TikToks) to promote youth programmes and stories.
Design posters and visuals for campaigns, events, and awareness initiatives.
Assist with content scheduling, captions, and maintaining a consistent and engaging online presence.
Collaboration
Work with youth workers and teammates to brainstorm creative ideas for campaigns.
Support other youth centres’ social media projects where needed.
Connect with the Communications & Outreach team to expand further learning in areas such as branding and pitching
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Practical Media Skills
Build hands-on experience in video editing (CapCut), social media management, and creative storytelling in a dynamic youth environment.
Insight into Youth Work & Development
Gain exposure to the youth sector, learning how social media can be used to advocate for mental well-being, build community, and amplify youth voices. You’ll gain insights into how youth workers build trust, create safe spaces and design programmes that support young people’s growth and resilience.
By the end of your internship, you’ll not only have strengthened your creative skills but also developed a deeper understanding of youth development, mental health advocacy, and purpose-driven communication.

You’ll also gain opportunities to learn from the Communications & Outreach team on branding and campaign strategy.

Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5.30pm
