Brief Description: The intern will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects—including events, financial tracking, and stakeholder engagement—to ensure smooth and effective execution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Management
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within scope
Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and support reporting and documentation efforts
Support Financial Oversight
Review and analyze spending reports submitted by project applicants to ensure compliance with budgets and financial guidelines
Assist in preparing financial summaries and identifying areas of variance or concern
Community Outreach
Organize, coordinate, and implement community events, workshops, and engagement activities
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution and build relationships with community partners
Conduct Research
Perform research on relevant social issues to inform project decisions and strategies
Compile and present findings in a clear and actionable format to guide program development
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Gain hands-on experience in managing project lifecycles, creating timelines, and coordinating resources effectively
Learn how to organize and execute successful events, including planning logistics, managing attendees, and evaluating outcomes
Develop an understanding of financial principles by reviewing and analyzing budgets and expenditures
Broaden your understanding of current social challenges and how community-based projects address them
Learn to conduct qualitative and quantitative research on social issues and compile insights that inform projects
Develop data analysis skills through tasks such as reviewing datasets, creating summaries, and utilizing Excel for reporting
Work directly with various community organizations, gaining insights into their operations, challenges, and impact
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 5.00pm
