Brief Description: Friendzone is looking for a Community Programmes Intern to support the design and facilitation of programmes that help people build stronger friendships and meaningful social connections.
The intern will play an active role in designing and running community programmes, supporting participants, and helping create spaces where people can form genuine friendships.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Programme Design, Facilitation & Administration:
- Work with government & corporate partners to support the design, facilitation, and administration (e.g. contacting participants, registration) of Friendzone’s community gatherings and workshops
- Gather insights and feedback from participants to improve programmes
- Document community stories and programme outcomes
2. Community Facilitator Management:
- Manage Friendzone’s Community facilicators
- Design systems and processes to support facilitator management
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. To be exposed to real-world community engagement and how friendships and social connections are formed in everyday settings
2. To be able to design and run community-building programmes and meaningful social experiences from start to finish
3. To apply practical facilitation skills to guide conversations, manage group dynamics, and create inclusive environments
4. To participate in the coordination and execution of events, working alongside participants and facilitators on the ground
5. To learn how to manage and oversee programme logistics, including participant and facilitator coordination
6. To gain knowledge in community engagement strategies and the principles behind effective programme development
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 10.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
