Organisation Overview: Empact is a social enterprise with a social mission to build the capacity of social organisations in Singapore and the region. As a capacity builder to non-profits and social enterprises, we serve as an intermediary to our corporate partners where we match and manage their resources, expertise and skilled volunteers with the real needs in the social sector.

Brief Description: We are looking for a hands-on and meticulous individual who is passionate in inspiring and supporting corporations in their volunteering journey. He/she will be responsible for collecting, coordinating and analysing data to synthesise key insights, culminating in the production of comprehensive reports.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Active engagement in supporting the non-profit sector and social enterprises

  2. Work on multiple projects and prioritize effectively

  3. Exercise and stretch different skill sets and gain professional development

  4. Provide excellent service to clients

  5. Share knowledge and work with volunteers and other interns

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to the social sector: types of social organisations, key stakeholders, key needs and challenges of social organisations, resources and solutions

  2. To be able to understand the ecosystem, different stakeholders and their roles in the social sector in Singapore and other markets

  3. To apply knowledge to practice

  4. To participate in projects, workshops and programmes

  5. To learn how to use basic project and event administration skills

  6. To gain knowledge in developing a methodological approach to problem-solving and sourcing for solutions

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 10.00am - 7.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: No weekend work required
