Organisation Overview: Children-At-Risk Empowerment Assn (CARE Singapore) is a youth focused charity and IPC, dedicated to enabling supportive environments for youths and their families to thrive. We hope to help every youth succeed and bring above positive social development over successive generations.
We are also in the space of Mental health, running the CREST-Youth prog for Pasir Ris and Tampines East.
Brief Description: The intern will work with our Programme and Services team to plan and execute a variety of programmes in schools and community serttings. These may include school based social work, community mental health activation and events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the work of the youth work team in our daily programmes and services.
Support the Mental health outreach team under CREST-Youth
Work on new programmes and initiatives for Caregiver support.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the ideals of Positive Youth Development in youth work
To learn how to plan and execute events
To under the use of data in reporting
To be able to be effective in managing large events
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
