Organisation Overview: Yong-en Care Centre is a social service agency serving the community through our Core Services: Family Support Services, Dementia Day Care, Home Care Service, and Active Ageing.
Brief Description: Curating exciting and energising programmes for seniors is what you had always wanted to do and learn! This internship will allow you to explore your hidden talents in the development and coordination of activities at Yong-en Active Hub YEAH! You will also get to work with different stakeholders to promote and support active ageing in the community.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Plan and assist with executing of purposeful and interactive activities for the seniors
Develop and support volunteer management to support seniors
Develop and assist with promotional planning and activities for the recruitment of new seniors dwelling in the community
Develop and implement methods to improve overall health of seniors
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be able to learn effective ways to communicate and work with seniors
To learn creative, innovative and purposeful methods to create meaningful programmes and activities to engage seniors
To learn and apply effective methods to organise and promote programmes to the community
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
