Organisation Overview: Empower Ageing is a Singapore-based non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting active ageing, intergenerational connection, and community well-being among older adults. Since our founding, we have worked alongside seniors, volunteers, and community partners to create meaningful programmes that affirm the dignity, capability, and continued contribution of every older person in Singapore.
Brief Description: Manage volunteer deployment and operations for Empower Ageing’s Community Arm, communicate operational needs to stakeholders, review and improve programmes and structures, and propose new senior community initiatives, while supporting additional duties as required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate operational processes for the deployment of volunteer manpower for Empower Ageing’s Arm
Communicate operational changes and needs in an orderly process to the relevant organisational stakeholders, especially in light of volunteer constraints;
Identify avenues for program optimization through regular review with operational stakeholders
Develop and deliver a training program for caregivers for frail seniors in the community
Organize and take part in events for EA Communities run programmes
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Learn to develop, coordinate, and execute operational workflows that ensure timely and efficient deployment of volunteer manpower for Empower Ageing’s initiatives.
Identify, assess, and recommend process improvements by conducting regular operational reviews with key stakeholders to enhance program delivery
Acquire skills to create and implement training programmes tailored for seniors, ensuring content relevance, engagement, and measurable learning outcomes
Learn to conceptualize, organize, and manage community events that align with Empower Ageing’s objectives, including volunteer coordination, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
