Organisation Overview: The Empowered Families Initiative (EFI) supports less-resourced families in Singapore to improve their life and financial outcomes. We believe families have the potential and are best placed to shape their own futures. Through matched savings, grants, peer support, and customised pathways, EFI helps families reach meaningful milestones, build confidence, and work towards long-term goals.
Brief Description: Support EFI’s communications by creating content, managing social media, and promoting programmes and events. This role includes engaging with families and stakeholders to share stories and increase awareness of EFI’s work and impact.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create content for social media and publicity materials
Support management of digital platforms and campaigns
Assist in documenting events and capturing stories
Support outreach and promotion of EFI activities
Support planning and execution of programme sessions and activities
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to communications in the social impact sector
To be able to create and manage content across platforms
To apply storytelling and design skills in real campaigns
To participate in publicity and event coverage
To learn how to communicate impact effectively
To gain knowledge in branding and audience engagement
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 10.00am - 6.30pm. Required to work nights and weekends when needed for operations (OIL given)
Will this internship require weekend work?: Flexible - weekend work may be required depending on operational needs
Requirements (if any):
Strong writing and communication skills
Good design or content creation skills (e.g. Canva, social media tools)
Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, etc.)
Creative and attentive to detail
Basic photo or video editing skills are a plus
Willingness to support event coverage, including some evenings or weekends
