Organisation Overview: BMDP manages Singapore’s only register of volunteer bone marrow donors and with a slim chance of finding that perfect matched donor, we are fully committed to building the local donor register into a national asset to help all Singaporeans have that second chance of life.

What we do at BMDP directly impacts life and death, hence our promise of “A donor for every patient”. We reach out to all sectors within our community to share the message and empower people with the choice to save a life.

Brief Description:

The intern will assist in the following:

  1. Generating new leads for partnerships for donor recruitment as well as retail sponsorship:

  2. Supporting donor recruitment activities i.e. developing pre-event publicity materials and provide manpower and logistic support as well as donor engagement activities; and

  3. Swab processing and recommitment programme

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in generating new leads for partnership for donor recruitment, retail partnership and sponsorship opportunity.

  2. Assist in crafting engaging contents for e-newsletter to engage new and registered donors.

  3. Assist in donor recruitment events which includes developing pre-event publicity materials and providing manpower and logistic support.

  4. Swab processing and recommitment programme engagement

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To assist in the swab processing and recommitment programme for volunteer marrow donors

  2. To participate in donor recruitment events

  3. To learn how to generate leads for partnerships

  4. To learn how to engage stakeholders (e.g. new donors)

  5. To be exposed to BMDP's mission

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Flexible - weekend work may be required depending on operational need
